Today, Rightmove has revealed the results of its ‘Happy at Home’ Index for 2015, in which it asked nearly 25,000 people to rank 12 distinct factors about where they live which included safety, neighbourliness and local amenities to name but a few. According to the survey, for the second year in a row Inverness has been voted as the ‘happiest place in Scotland’ with residents giving top marks for factors such as area upkeep, pride, safety and neighbourliness.
Inverness is best known for its picturesque landscape, and boasts various historic buildings, including Inverness Castle and the award winning Eastgate Centre, whilst also holding the title for having one of the most beautiful riverside settings in Britain. It is due to this that Inverness has been placed as one of the most desirable places to live in the UK in recent years, and now the happiest!
The branch manager of Your Move, Inverness Peter Murphy could not agree more with the survey results “Inverness is one of the friendliest places in Scotland to live. There is so much to do in and around the city with a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and a good nightlife.”
