About the Role:

This role is part of the client services team that supports the needs of our client portfolio, initially focusing on those located in North America. Primarily responsibilities include general account management and day-to-day coordination, as well as supporting monthly financial close, billings and payments processes for your assigned clients. As this role largely supports external accounting and finance, you will be required to interact with both clients and vendors of Proplynx closely. You will be the client’s first and main contact for all issues. You will oversee the quality of the client service, project status, execution and coordinate with internal teams and in-country local service partners. In addition, you will maintain strong relationships with clients in your portfolio to continually ensure they are receiving excellent service and quality, and to be a trusted advisor for their global expansion needs.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:

  • Overall service delivery ownership and ongoing relationship management with client stakeholders:
    • Client HQ’s main touchpoint on all tactical matters and global service execution
    • Day-to-day internal account lead; coordinates with the Client Services team/other “advisors” to ensure successful delivery of in-scope service specialties and deliverables (e.g. Payroll, Employer of Record/Professional Employer Organization, Human Resources, Accounting and Tax, Statutory Compliance, etc.)
    • Schedules and manages all ongoing project status calls by setting the call agenda, tracking and coordinating action items, providing meeting summaries and ongoing updates
    • Ensure timely and accurate execution of client activities and requirements
  • Supporting monthly financial activities
    • Compile and review clients’ monthly financial statements (from external accountants)
    • Review and QA all financial statements for clients regional entities
    • Review payroll for multiple clients for accuracy, reconciliation and follow-through on receipt of funds from clients’ and confirm disbursements of funds on time
  • Maintain contact with in-country providers/vendors regarding the following:
    • Potential issues, transactions that may impact accounting, discuss if local provider is requested by clients to perform non-routine work, and obtain related fee quotes and approvals
  • Overall administrative ownership for the account at Proplynx Global:
    • Maintains client status and progress internally
    • Updates relevant service manuals, project trackers, systems (CRM, etc.).
    • Works with Finance as necessary to ensure all “standard” (in-scope recurring services) billings are accurately reflected in invoicing and any “Advisory” charges are captured. Submits to Client Partner for final review.
  • Identify suitable networking opportunities and represent Proplynx professionally

Required Skills:

  • Corporate Finance and/or Public Accounting/Audit background (payroll knowledge also valuable)
  • Understand the: risks and challenges of global expansion; concept of global statutory compliance; and the concept of using client engagement letter and/or statement of work to document scope of work
  • Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and familiarity with some ERP Systems

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Corporate Finance and/or Public Accounting/Audit experience is required
  • Previous Client Services experience is preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Strategize, tactical, roll up sleeves; utility player
  • Ability to travel for business – anticipated to be up to 20% -30% of the time
  • International experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong communications (written, verbal, listening, etc.) skills
  • A second language (e.g. Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic) is desirable in addition to fluent English
