For week three of our #BranchSpotlight series, we’re honing in on our Glenrothes branch, which is situated in the heart of the Scottish town on North Street.

The new town of Glenrothes sits in the perfect location for the commuter in central Fife, with an excellent road network extending to all parts of Fife by road or by rail, to the major cities to include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee & beyond. The town sits just twenty miles from the historic Town of St Andrews- ‘The Home of Golf’ and where Prince William and Princess Kate fell in love- & the picturesque ‘East Neuk Of Fife’- this charming stretch of coast runs south from St Andrews to the headland at Fife Ness, then as far west as Earlsferry.
Glenrothes town has undergone many changes of late, including the newly expanded Kingdom Shopping Centre, new options for supermarkets, bars and restaurants, including The Rothes Halls which provide entertainment and conference facilities.
The town boasts a wealth of nursery, primary & secondary education facilities, including the recently completed ‘A Class’ Auchmuty High School, as well as further education available at The Stenton College Campus.

Leisure facilities are available at the Modern Michael Woods Sports & Leisure Centre, which caters for all interests for the young to the old, inside and outside with state of the art facilities which are second to none. The town also benefits from access to numerous private & public Golf course facilities.
Sitting at the gateway to the Lomond Hills, the picturesque town is surrounded by countryside as far as the eye can see.
For those who enjoy getting in and amongst nature, there are more cycle paths and woodland walks than you could shake a stick at. Riverside Park stands out, and is recognisable by the iconic Iris Sculpture. The monument was donated to the Town from Glasgow Garden Festival, which was held in the Prince`s Dock in Govan in 1988.
There are lots of great places to eat and drink in the town, including fantastic Indian cuisine at the Handi Restaurant which serves The Orangery is a fine dining restaurant which offers ‘Scotland on a plate’, and was voted as one of Scotlands five most romantic restaurants by the Scotsman newspaper.
