Staff across the business continue to take part in fundraising events in aid of charity and this year we have Emma Beasley, PA to our Executive Director for Estate Agency, taking part in the London Marathon on 24 April.
Here Emma explains why she’s taking part and what she hopes to achieve for her chosen charity.
“I completed the Milton Keynes half marathon in 2015 but this will be my first full marathon and, as a result, I am training hard; running five times a week. I am raising money for Action This Day – an amazing charity that aims to break the cycle of poverty in Kenya by helping to educate extremely disadvantaged children.
Action This Day funds Kookaburra Community School in Bamburi, just outside Mombasa. Kookaburra is a primary school with 130 pupils aged between 5 and 16. They provide education, orphan care and healthcare, and assist in the children’s all round development through life skills programs and vocational training. My target is to raise a £1,000 and I’d thank anyone for their support and for making every mile of pain worth it by reaching this target.”
