It’s well done to Your Move colleagues in Scotland who took part in an exciting Supernova fundraising event last Sunday that saw them run 5k around the famous Kelpies – the 30 metre high mythical creatures, situated in Falkirk – in memory of a much loved colleague.
The team, led by Your Move Managing Director in Scotland, Chris Campbell, joined other participants in dressing up in fluorescent clothing as they took part in the event in the dark.
Chris commented:
“Following the untimely death of our much respected colleague, Irene Hardy, who worked for Your Move for more than ten years, we decided we wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK – in her name. The Supernova event seemed the ideal way to do this and as a result 10 of us took part – including those from Cumbernauld office where Irene was a Senior Negotiator, and colleagues from our Falkirk office.
We didn’t beat any records for running a 5K but really enjoyed taking part in the event and managed to raise £2,300 for this very worthwhile cause – although we would love to get to £5,000+ and would therefore appreciate any contribution to our fundraising – large or small.”
Your Move staff who took part in the event included, from the Cumbernauld branch, Sales Manager – Lynn Aitken, Sales Consultants – Meg Macdonald and Laurie Gibb and an ex staff member, Kate Bulloch. From the Falkirk branch it was Senior Sales Consultant, Helen Callum, joined by Area Directors, Marion Hunter and Alison Harper, as well as Sales Manager, Jane Jordan, from Fife, and Chris Campbell and her PA Michelle McKellar.
