Your Move is delighted to announce that Anthony Gray from Sunderland is the winner of a month’s free rent following his success in a national prize draw that it organised.
Anthony was picked at random from a list of more than 3,700 entrants who took part in a recent survey which was conducted by Your Move, in conjunction with PRSim – its sister company who offers consultancy and operational management solutions to developers in the Build to Rent and Private Rented Sectors.
The survey was designed to gain a better understanding of the UK’s Private Rented Sector (PRS) and posed questions specifically to tenants. It revealed some interesting facts about why people rent, what is important to them as tenants and what their aspirations might be for the future. Of particular interest was that, whilst many believe tenants are in the younger age bracket, there is a growing number of tenants – above the age of 45 – who are not only reconciled to renting but are happy to do so in the longer term.
Added to this it seems that fostering good communications with their landlord is considered highly important to tenants as well as the chance to have ‘more say’ about the development of new builds and new ‘living concepts’ such as the availability of onsite gyms and communal gardens or open spaces.
Anthony commented:
“I’m delighted to have won the prize draw and I am pleased I entered the survey – although the prize was not the main incentive. I was keen to give my point of view about what it’s like to be a tenant and importantly what I think tenants expect from their landlord and what aspirations we have – particularly in the development of new build rental properties.
I personally have a good relationship with both my landlord and the local Your Move lettings team in Sunderland but hope my responses might prove useful in helping others in whatever situation they might be in. I am now looking forward to a small holiday in celebration of my success.”
Your Move would like to thank Anthony – and all those who took part in the survey – in helping us to produce such an in depth and valuable report.
