Your Move Andrew Nicholson in Crewe has made its first donation to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal as part of its charity partnership. The start of April marked six months of the alliance and saw Your Move Andrew Nicholson happily donate a cheque for the sum of just over £1,000 to Charity Manager Laura Riddle.
In October 2015, Your Move Andrew Nicholson announced that it would partner with Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal. The Crewe-based estate agent pledged to donate £50 after every successful property sale completion, with funds presented to the charity’s MRI Scanner appeal on a six monthly basis. Your Move Andrew Nicholson also supports the appeal by including the MRI Scanner Appeal logo on signage boards at all approved properties listed throughout the duration of the partnership, and within their Crewe branch.
Laura Riddle, Charity Manager, comments “I’d like to sincerely thank Your Move Andrew Nicholson for choosing to support the MRI Scanner Appeal in raising funds and spreading awareness”. Laura states, “It’s fantastic to receive such a significant donation at this stage of the appeal, and thanks to this generous pledge, we’re close to achieving our target. However, we’re not there yet and we still need more companies to get involved to support our appeal for the new MRI Scanner at Leighton Hospital. It’s critical to being able to continue to serve the community as it deserves.”
Andrew Nicholson, of Your Move, says “We chose to support the MRI Scanner Appeal because as a local estate agent, we believe it’s important to support services that are vital to the wellbeing of our local community”. Andrew adds, “We’re absolutely thrilled to make our first donation, and look forward to further involvement with such a brilliant cause”.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity launched its £1 million MRI Scanner Appeal to provide an additional MRI scanner at Leighton Hospital in March 2014. The existing scanner operates 8.00am – 8.00pm, 7 days per week with approximately 30 patients a day being scanned. An extension to this could compromise patient experience, therefore, the decision was taken to procure and install an additional MRI scanner in order to address the shortfall in capacity and the need to look at the long term options available in providing a sustainable MRI service.
Through the successful funding the £1 million target and procuring the additional MRI scanner will provide a number of benefits to patients, staff and the Trust.
