We’re delighted to announce that Your Move has beaten off tough competition from within the property market with the announcement that it has the best overall estate agency website following a Website Speed League Survey conducted by the comparson and switching service, Uswitch.
The Survey was conducted amongst more than 2,000 participants to give a nationally representative view on what the UK thinks of slow websites and to highlight the best performing ones in terms of how quickly visitors can access information.
As the report highlights, Your Move received the top score overall in the Property category and was seen to offer the best speed on mobile. It was Zoopla who ‘pipped Your Move to the post’ by just one point when considering access via a desktop device, otherwise Your Move would have scored a hat trick.
Louise Hudson, Marketing Director for Estate Agency commented: “This is a great result and testament to the hard work of the Your Move web team to continually improve the speed and performance of our site for the benefit of our online visitors – especially the 70%+ who access the website on mobile devices – reflecting our “mobile first” approach.
We always focus heavily on content to ensure we provide a full range of information online to those seeking help and guidance about property related matters whilst at the same time ensuring that the speed and the journey finding the information is the best it can be. I’m pleased that our efforts have been independently acknowledged in this way and look forward to building on this success in the future.”
What the Survey said:
The Survey results also highlighted that ‘slow websites are perceived to be less secure than fast websites, with 1 in 3 people stating they think slow websites are less trustworthy. Beyond security concerns, 76% of people said they wouldn’t recommend a slow website to a friend. Whilst 1 in 4 stated they wouldn’t return to visit a website again after a slow experience and 71% of consumers would visit a competitor site instead.
Uswitch added: “It is worth noting our research found over half of people would judge a brand negatively for having a slow website and 76% wouldn’t recommend a slow website to a friend,”
“Understandably, 80% of people feel frustrated and annoyed when they visit a slow website.
“Whilst over 55s were the most annoyed age group (85%), the least annoyed 16-24 year olds still overwhelmingly said slow websites make them feel annoyed and frustrated (75%).”
