Your Move Chris Stonock receives gold award

Your Move Chris Stonock has been accredited with the Gold Award by Investors in People.  This is the second award received by the company.  In 2012 the business was awarded the bronze standard.

Investors in People is an internationally-recognised programme providing recognition for organisations which seek to improve their performance and realise their objectives through the effective management and development of their people.  Around 15,000 organisations across 75 countries hold Investors in People accreditation but only 3% of these have achieved the gold standard, which identifies “world class best practice”.

Investors in People assess the business based upon a strict framework including’ Business Strategy, People Management, Leadership, Empowerment, Performance Management, Learning and Development.  There is a rigorous assessment which includes lengthy interviews with a large number of staff from right across the business.  The Gold Standard is only awarded to organisations who can demonstrate excellence in developing and supporting their staff.  Your Move Chris Stonock needed to meet more than 165 evidence requirements that included commitment to the values of the business and personal development.

The business was set up by Chris Stonock in 2007 as part of a management buy out from Halifax Estate Agents.  In 2010 the company joined the Your Move Network.  The business has around sixty colleagues based over eight branches  across Tyneside and County Durham.  Chris Stonock is a Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years experience in the business and is frequently quoted in the press as an expert on the property market.
