Your Move Franchisee, Sue Petty, has been busy helping to organise a massive street party which will take place in Sidcup tomorrow in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
More than 12,000 residents have already registered to attend the Sidcup Town Team Consortium’s free event from noon to 5pm and it is expected to be a fun filled afternoon with a gospel choir, mini fun fair , a sing along, steel band, local rock band Stone Blind. and even a giant cake in celebration of a very special birthday.
Ninety balloons – one for every year of the Queen’s life – will also be released by deputy Mayor councillor Val Clark.
Sue, as Chairman of The Sidcup Town Team Consortium, a group dedicated to supporting good causes in and around Sidcup has been influential in organising the event – including gathering more than 200 prizes from local businesses which will be raffled to raise funds. And, due to her success in helping to organise this and similar events, she is also due to appear on Channel 4 TV as well as French and German news programmes tomorrow as they follow the royal celebrations.
Sue commented:
”It’s been hard work but we’re all looking forward to the event and hope everyone will enjoy the day and, importantly, raise much needed funds for local organisations. I’d like to thank everyone for their support and, of course, take this opportunity to wish Her Majesty “A very happy birthday”.
